Sitting along a quiet tree-lined street in London’s Hampstead Heath and enriched by a generous garden, Heath Drive is a stunning traditional English home graced by natural light and airy spaces.
We conceived and carried our a contemporary-oriented design project for the capacious, high-ceilinged kitchen in this beautiful house.
Location: London
Completion: March 2024
A very up-to-date and sophisticated neutral, natural palette is what guided us choosing the materials and the finishes to turn our client’s vision into a contemporary and cosy kitchen, designed to be lived in and to become the core of the home.
Building upon exceptional features such as floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, exposed bricks, and an exquisite solid oak-strip wooden floor, we designed a magnificent kitchen island in Travertino Romano marble, a robust, resistant and compact natural Italian stone exuding a timeless elegance.
The client herself came to Italy on two separate occasions to choose the perfect marble slabs, which were later processed in the factory, undergoing an acid-proof treatment to seal the marble pores and provide an anti-stain quality.
To reflect the client’s idea of a modern and elegant space, we paired the Travertino in the island with the preciousness and the charm of fossil oak wood, carefully selected to display straight veins without knots, which was also the material of choice for the base units and tall units, featuring 2,9-meter-tall oak doors with a honeycomb aluminium core to supply extraordinary lightness.
The kitchen at Heath Drive is complemented by state-of the-art technology, top-notch Gaggenau appliances, and drawer accessories designed for perfect functionality.
