This substantial home on the private Moor Park estate required a luxurious kitchen that would be a visual masterpiece and a joy to cook in. We designed a truly exceptional modern kitchen that plays with scale and is a testament to exquisite craftsmanship.

Known for its beauty and durability, we chose a beautifully veined statuario Carrara marble to be central to the design. The 180mm high worktops create an instant focal point and our stone fabricators meticulously added a 10mm raised lip around the edges of all the worktops, adding depth and character.

Splashbacks in the same Carrara marble run up to ceiling height in one corner of the kitchen and around the window recess. A highly polished brass strip is inlaid at eye level creating a striking contrast with the marble and picking up the gold tones throughout.

The generous kitchen island provides ample space for culinary experimentation and seamless meal preparation. Four domino cooktops by Italian appliance brand Fulgor; two gas burners, one teppanyaki grill and a BBQ grill are aligned in front of two retractable downdraft extractor fans. To maintain the pristine beauty of the marble, it has been acid-proofed and treated to guard against stains and ring marks.

Below the worktops, extra wide cabinets and deep drawers are finished in a soft touch champagne gold that complements the Carrara marble. Dark plinths give the illusion that the cabinetry is floating.

Full height wall units with Walnut canaletto doors – a fine timber fluting exclusive to Key Cucine – flank both sides of the kitchen. Using a retractable pocket door system, these cabinets house a breakfast bar complete with wine cooler, a bank of Fulgor ovens, a Siemens fridge freezer and pantry storage. Combining functionality with design, the tall cabinets keep everything within reach whilst maintaining the kitchen’s seamless appearance. 

The wall cabinets either side of the sink area and one set of full-height cabinets feature reflective Stopsol bronze glass with a transparent finish. Not only functional, they are visually stunning and create a capitivating display when lit from within. 

We carefully considered every element and material to create a space that is a sophisticated fusion of beauty and functionality.
