Purchased off-plan, the new owners of this contemporary home on Howe Drive asked for a kitchen that would function effortlessly through the day, both as a family kitchen that is safe and functional to a more sophisticated adult space.

Their preferred look and feel was minimalist mixed with Italian contemporary style.

A handleless design reflected their preferred look and feel and meant everything could be hidden away. However big handles in gunmetal grey were added to the doors of the fully integrated larger appliances for ease of use.

Drawer fronts and cupboard doors by Alta Cucina were clad with incredibly durable Stone Grey quartz from Stone Italiana paired with grey laminate worktops. The central kitchen island is clad entirely in the same low environmental impact quartz.

To add a touch of glamour and subtle reflections in the evening, we clad the handleless wall cabinets either side of the window with smoked mirror glass.

A bank of floor to ceiling cabinetry finished in a wipeable cream cement finish houses the ovens and warming drawers and the integrated side by side fridge freezers. Retractable pocket doors to the right of the ovens reveal a handy breakfast bar with hot water tap, sink, coffee machine and ample storage.

For the evenings and entertaining, a home bar with a built-in handleless Miele wine chiller sits alongside the dining table.

The bright orange smoked glass pendant lights, quilted bar stools, different textured surfaces and chromatic colour contrasts mean the large open plan living, dining and kitchen space is well balanced and welcoming at all times of the day.
